i am forever proud of this boy...
this boy received this lego set for Christmas 2009
this boy was too young and inexperienced to finish this project in 2009
so...
for a whole year it sat...
in a box...
in our schoolroom...
waiting...
for just the right time...
for this boy
to decide
he was old enough
and
brave enough
to tackle the project
a few days ago
he did it!!!!
he finished it!!!!
he is proud of himself
and his mama is oh, so proud of him!!!!
J and P are thrilled to see your boy!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun project - great lesson in delayed gratifcation - if he started it too soon, he probably would have never finished (lost pieces and such) - but since he waited - he was able to complete it! Congrats!!
Actually, he did start it. He started it in Ruidoso and we had to bring it home. He didn't want to follow the directions so when it got home, it stayed half finished at the end of the table in the homeschool room. That is until it got knocked off by Em. I really have NO idea how he found all the pieces, directions, or was even able to find where he was in the directions.... Just all part of the reason I'm so amazed and proud.
ReplyDeleteFrom a momma of three sons... I know what you mean. So proud of our baby boys! Mine are 23, 21 and 19... but they are my babies! ( :
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
